How to become a Turtles volunteer

Obviously help is needed in and around the pool with supervising and teaching swimmers, but you don't have to be a swimmer to become a volunteer! There are other tasks and volunteer drivers are particularly welcomed to enable some swimmers to attend club meetings. Non-drivers are also very welcome and we will endeavour to arrange transport for you if wherever possible. For those wishing to help in the pool itself, full training in the Halliwick method can be provided. There are regular weekend training courses for those wishing to become trainers themselves.
There is an informal interview and an application form for volunteers. In order to fulfill our policies regarding our child safe scheme which includes vunerable adults we will also require the names of at least two referees and formal proof of your identity(e.g. Passport or new type driving licence with photo).
