Taff-Ely Turtles Trip To Germany May 2003

We were picked up at 10:45 for our transfer to the airport and as we had a little time to spare our hosts took us to a local ceramics market where there were some charity stalls selling burgers, sausages and beer. Whilst there the owner of a nearby schnapps factory heard of our twinning trip and gave us an exclusive private tour of his schnapps distillery and encouraged us to try his wares free of charge. After a pleasant flight and mini-bus transfer we arrived back in Pontypridd at about 9 p.m. Since our visit many of us have kept in touch with our hosts and hope to give them the same welcome when they make the return visit to us.
