The Halliwick method

Swimmer being taught how to float in the pool All swimmers at the club learn the Halliwick method, it concentrates on developing confidence and building upon each swimmers natural ability in the water. As well as basic swimming techniques, emphasis is placed upon confidence, an adjustment to the water, breathing and balance control. Swimmers will learn to float, stand up and to recover to safe breathing positions in the water.
As swimmers confidence increases, they have the chance to take water proficiency badges, after which they have more opportunities to swim independently in the pool and even become volunteers, helping others to learn.
Swimmers can also take part in fun activities, galas and competitions with other clubs. Email link
